There are other tools you can use to batch convert your high quality photos, some of which might have come with your camera, but you'd have to look at your manual yourself. In the meantime, you can just add folders under the /galleries directory (notice the /galleries/firstbatch directory I made), put your pictures in there, and copy the /galleries/firstbatch/album.php into the new directory. If you edit that file you can change the title of the gallery. Then you can add a new link when you logon to the blog site admin, and have it show up in the Galleries links section.
